Output formats supported by CanoDraw
Graphs created by CanoDraw are stored in files with CDG
extension. You can either print them directly from the application or you
can export them in one of the following formats:
Windows Bitmap (BMP) file format
- is a standard raster graphics file format on Microsoft Windows platform,
supported by all image-editing and word processing programs on this platform.
You can specify here the color depth (8 or 24 bit) and bitmap resolution
(in DPI units). This format is also used when you copy a CanoDraw graph
Portable Network Graphics (PNG)
file format - is by now a standard format for WWW browsers,
representing a replacement for GIF format. Raster image resolution can
be specified for this format.
Windows Metafile (WMF) format
is provided in two alternative specifications: the enhanced metafile
format is generally recommended for inclusion in text-editing or drawing
documents. This format is also used when you copy a CanoDraw graph onto
Clipboard. The other form - Aldus placeable metafile format can
be used by older text-layout software.
Adobe Illustrator (AI) format,
using the Adobe Illustrator 3.0 format specification. This format is readily
accepted not only by Adobe Illustrator (TM) (up to the newest versions),
but also by other professional graphical applications produced by Adobe,
e.g. the Adobe Photoshop (TM) program.
